Wilson Health is pleased to announce two new appointments to their leadership team. Jim Whitaker has joined as Vice President of Operations and Jamarielle “JD” Brown has joined the organization as Director of Occupational Health, Employer Direct Care, and Urgent Care Clinics.
Whitaker brings more than 15 years of healthcare leadership experience to the organization. Most recently, he served as Senior Advisor of Operations at OhioHealth’s Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton, Ohio, where he oversaw several key departments, including Facilities, Nutrition Services, Environmental Services, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Imaging, Security, Physical Therapy, and multiple contracted clinical services.
Whitaker began his career as a nurse, working in emergency departments and advancing into nursing leadership roles before transitioning into hospital operations. He has also held leadership positions at Lima Memorial Hospital, building extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient care, as well as in rural and community-focused healthcare settings.
He earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from American InterContinental University in Schaumburg, Illinois, and his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
In his new role at Wilson Health, Whitaker will oversee operational strategy and performance across several departments, including the Cardiac Cath Lab, Laboratory Services, Pharmacy, Imaging/Radiology Services, Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy, Plant Operations, Environmental Services, and Nutrition Services.
Wilson Health looks forward to the leadership and expertise Whitaker brings as the organization continues its commitment to delivering high-quality care to the community.
Brown brings more than a decade of healthcare leadership experience, with a proven ability to oversee multi-site urgent care, occupational health, and employer-based clinic operations. He is recognized for building strong teams, improving operational performance, and expanding access to care across diverse communities.
Most recently, Brown served as Vice President of Revenue Operations at Conduct Curb ABA, a behavioral health provider specializing in autism services in Indianapolis, Indiana. Prior to that role, he held progressive leadership positions with WellNow Urgent Care, where he advanced from managing three clinics to overseeing up to 40 locations across Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. In this capacity, he maintained full financial and operational responsibility, including oversight of territories in the Dayton and Sidney markets—experience that provides valuable familiarity with the local community and the patients Wilson Health serves.
Brown holds a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Western Kentucky University.
Wilson Health welcomes JD Brown to the team and looks forward to his leadership in advancing occupational health, employer direct care, and urgent care services for the community.
"We look forward to the strategic guidance and industry expertise that Whitaker and Brown will provide our organization," said Alex Pohlman, President and CEO of Wilson Health. "With their combined years of experience, Jim and JD are invaluable additions to Wilson Health, reinforcing our mission to deliver top-tier care to the community."
