The Wilson Health Foundation is proud to announce it has received a generous grant from the Shelby County United Way – Student United Way to support the purchase of toys and comfort items for children visiting the Wilson Health Outpatient Lab.
This thoughtful donation will help create a more welcoming and less intimidating environment for pediatric patients undergoing outpatient procedures. Toys, games, and interactive items will be used to engage and comfort children, helping reduce anxiety and making their visit a more positive experience.
“We’re incredibly grateful to the Student United Way and Shelby County United Way for recognizing the importance of pediatric patient care,” said Jenny Bruns, Executive Director of Wilson Health Foundation. “This grant not only helps brighten a child’s day during what can be a stressful visit, but also reinforces our commitment to whole-person care—physical, emotional, and psychological.”
The Student United Way is comprised of high school students from Shelby County who work together to make a positive impact in their community through leadership, service, and philanthropy.
Wilson Health Foundation continues to work closely with community partners to support the health and wellness needs of Shelby County and surrounding areas.
