Diagnostics & Treatment: What to Expect
The Wilson Health Cancer Center oncologist will collaborate and coordinate your cancer care with our team of expert providers to create a multi-disciplinary care approach that may include: cancer pathology, diagnostics, tumor staging, access to timely treatment, access to complex specialized cancer surgical services, chemotherapy and cancer infusion, clinical trials, and other supportive services.
Additionally, our breast, lung, colorectal, prostate, and pancreatic cancer patients will be supported by a dedicated patient navigator. This specially trained nurse will help you understand treatment options, assist with scheduling tests and appointments, and provide resources and support.
Chemotherapy Treatment, Right Down the Road
Being close to home during cancer treatment provides the comfort and familiarity you need most during these times. Our expert team will treat you like family, making sure you receive personalized care, a private infusion room for chemotherapy, and the supportive resources you need.
Your treatment plan will be determined by your oncology physician based on your diagnosis, the stage of cancer, and your overall health. Once the appropriate chemotherapy is determined, our healthcare team will provide you with information about your therapy along with information about support services that are available to you.
Patients will have access to coordinated care and treatment through specially trained chemo nurses, medical assistants, a nurse navigator, social worker, and clinical trials nurse.

Cancer Doctors at Wilson Health Cancer Center
Dr. Tarek M. Sabagh M.D.
Dr. Sabagh is a graduate of Zagazig, University School of Medicine in Benha, Egypt. He completed his residency at Wright State University in Dayton, OH. He completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at The Ohio State University James Cancer Research Institute in Columbus, OH. Dr. Sabagh is board certified in medical oncology and hematology. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Dayton Clinical Oncology Program, and the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer. Dr. Sabagh has been treating patients and teaching medical students as an Associate Clinical Professor at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine for more than 20 years. Dr. Sabagh is a certified physician participating in MD Anderson Cancer Network®, a program of MD Anderson Cancer Center, at Premier Health.
Dr. Piyush Patel MD
Dr. Patel is a graduate of Pramukh Swami Medical College in Karamsad, India. He completed his residency at University of South Dakota in Sioux Falls, SD. Dr. Patel completed a fellowship in hematology-oncology at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine.Dr. Patel is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology. He is a member of a number of professional organizations including American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and American Society of Hematology. Dr. Patel participates in MD Anderson Cancer Network®, a program of MD Anderson Cancer Center, at Premier Health.
Dr. Joseph See MD
Dr. See is a graduate of Wright State University School of Medicine where he also completed his residency and his fellowship in hematology-oncology. Dr. See is board certified in internal medicine, oncology, and hematology. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and American Society of Hematology. Dr. See was recently recognized as one of Dayton Magazine's Best Docs in 2022. Dr. See participates in MD Anderson Cancer Network®, a program of MD Anderson Cancer Center, at Premier Health.
Dr. Sana Jeffreys MD
Dr. Jeffreys is a graduate St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. She completed her residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI where she also completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology. Dr. Jeffreys is board certified in medical oncology and hematology. She is a member of the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American College of Physicians.Dr. Jeffreys participates in MD Anderson Cancer Network®, a program of MD Anderson Cancer Center, at Premier Health.
