Wilson Health’s Center for Weight and Wellness has implemented the use of telemedicine or ‘TeleHealth’ for some patient office appointments. Telehealth visits are available for new patient appointments, before weight loss surgery visits and after surgery post-operative care visits. Our current telehealth visits are conducted via telephone and/or video visits to connect with patients and keep them on track.

Are You Struggling with Your Weight?

Rather than relying only on your bathroom scale to tell you if you're overweight, experts say you should also know your body mass index (BMI). BMI takes into account not just your weight, but also your height to indicate body fat. The goal for most people is a BMI that's over 18 and under 25.

Nearly 70% of people in the United States are overweight. A third of us are obese. Carrying excess weight can cause life threatening conditions like heart disease, high blood pressure, sleep disorders, diabetes and even cancer. But, there's good news. Just a modest reduction of 5-10 percent of your weight can reduce your health risks.

You'll find support at Wilson Health's Center for Weight & Wellness to help you make the right decisions for you. We offer treatment options for medically supervised weight management and weight loss, as well as surgery and aftercare. You'll build healthy nutrition and exercise habits for weight maintenance. We will offer support along the way.
