Weight & Wellness Support Group

It is our goal to provide you with the tools and support you need to lead a healthy and happy life. Therefore, we offer a FREE support group monthly open to the public as well as for those considering surgery. Anyone is welcome to attend the monthly session. There is a different topic each month. Support groups will take place immediately following the Weight and Wellness Seminars from 7-8 p.m. in the lower level of the Professional Building at Wilson Health Main Campus. New patients interested in being seen in the program attend the 6-7 pm seminar. We offer two Saturday Seminars per year. The Saturday Seminars start at 10 a.m. with the Support Group following at 11 a.m. Join us!

Registration is not required for support groups, except for the grocery store tour. To register please contact our Program Coordinator at (937) 498-5573.

COVID UPDATE: 10 person maximum for in-person sessions with physical/social distancing measures in place. Masks required. Virtual attendance is also available.

    - Different walking groups will be available to accommodate multiple physical activity levels

• April 8, Thursday @ 7pm - Physical Activity Facilities & Options for Personal Training with Guest Speakers from Various Fitness Facilities

• May 3, Monday @ 7pm - Stress & Its Effect on Weight with Brenda Wills, CNP

• June 8, Tuesday @ 7pm - Interpreting Your Blood Work: Why are Vitamins so Important? with Dr. D-B and Kristin Manger, RDN

• July 7, Wednesday  @ 7 pm - Virtual Grocery Store Tour with Kristin Manger, RDN

• August 3, Tuesday @ 7 pm - Patient Panel with Cori Ailes, BSN, RN

• September 2, Thursday @ 7pm - Meal Planning with Julie Casiano, Meal Prep Life

• October 4, Monday @ 7 pm - 3 Year Anniversary Halloween Party featuring “Eat This, Not That.” with the Weight & Wellness Team

• November 6, Saturday @ 11 am – Emotions through the Holidays with Dr. James, Psychologist

• December 1, Wednesday @ 7pm - Yoga for All with Dr. D-B
