Wilson Health’s Weight and Wellness program has implemented the use of telemedicine or ‘TeleHealth’ for patient office appointments. Telehealth visits include new patient appointments, before weight loss surgery visits and after surgery post-operative care visits. Our current telehealth visits are conducted via telephone and/or video visits to connect with patients and keep them on track.

For New Patients

We are continuing to accept new patients for our surgical weight loss program. Patient appointments are telehealth based. For more information please call our dedicated office at 937.498.5573.

For Patients with Scheduled Appointments

Please plan for a telehealth visit on the day your office visit was scheduled.  Because of this, you will continue to receive a reminder call a few days before your scheduled appointment. Our office staff will be calling to set up telehealth calls/video visits before the day of your scheduled appointment.

Contact the office for questions and concerns

Our office is open to see patients who need to be seen in-person. We have implemented specific patient and visitor guidelines for COVID-19 screening including temperature monitoring to ensure patient and staff safety.

Please know that Bariatric Surgeon, Dr. Stephanie Dunkle-Blatter, and the entire Weight & Wellness team are committed to continue to provide you care now and beyond. Our goal is to continue to provide the highest quality, compassionate care to our patients while also keeping their safety and that of their family in mind!

Obesity is a Disease

Nearly 70% of people in the United States are overweight. A third of us are obese. Carrying excess weight can cause life threatening conditions like heart disease, high blood pressure, sleep disorders, diabetes and even cancer. But, there's good news. Just a modest reduction of 5-10 percent of your weight can reduce your health risks.

You'll find support at Wilson Health to help you make the right decisions for you. We offer treatment options for medically supervised weight management, as well as surgery and aftercare. You'll build healthy nutrition and exercise habits for weight maintenance. We will offer support along the way.

Are You Overweight?

Rather than relying only on your bathroom scale to tell you if you're overweight, experts say you should also know your body mass index (BMI). BMI takes into account not just your weight, but also your height to indicate body fat. The goal for most people is a BMI that's over 18 and under 25. This tool is for adults.
