The Wilson Memorial Hospital (WMH) Board of Directors announces Mark Dooley as President and CEO.
Dooley, currently President and CEO of Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, Ohio, will replace Thomas J. Boecker, who has been the hospital’s president since 1997. Boecker will be retiring effective June 27, ending a 40+ year distinguished career with Wilson Memorial Hospital.
Dooley brings more than 18 years of healthcare experience to Wilson Memorial with strengths in strategic leadership, business development and project management. Ken Monnier, chairman of the WMH board, says Dooley is an excellent fit for the hospital. “His depth of knowledge of community healthcare markets, executive leadership, and focus on providing first-class patient care parallels the focus of our hospital,” comments Monnier.
In his current role as a President and CEO of Clinton Memorial Hospital, a 135 bed acute care hospital in Wilmington, Ohio, Dooley was responsible for improving the hospital’s patient and physician satisfaction score percentages from 55 percent to 75 percent in his first year. He also introduced process improvement management in the Emergency Department to reduce wait time upon admission until the patient left the ER. Other notable career accomplishments include implementing new services in geriatric psychiatry, cardiac catheterization services, pain management, vascular testing, surgery and ENT. “My background is in the areas of expanding and improving patient care, financial management, and building growth. I am also passionate about creating and sustaining a great place for employees to work. WMH has a solid reputation and firm foundation to build upon. I am looking forward to joining the team that has made WMH successful,” says Dooley.

Dooley will join WMH following two years as President and CEO with Clinton Memorial Hospital. He earned his bachelors of science degree as well as his MBA from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana.
It is anticipated that Dooley will begin his role as President and CEO at WMH on June 16. He will be relocating to Shelby County with his family from the Wilmington, Ohio area. He and his wife have five children.
