Cecilia Banga, D.O., has joined Wilson Care OB/GYN. She joins the practice of Drs. Elizabeth Brandewie, Valerie Schulte and Courtney Slonkosky and Lisa Pleiman, certified nurse practitioner.
Dr. Banga offers a wide range of obstetric and gynecologic healthcare services for women of all ages. She has a special interest in performing minimally invasive surgery including: Endometrial Ablation; Laparoscopic Hysterectomy; Laparoscopic Myomectomy (uterine fibroids); Tubal Ligationand Pelvic Reconstructive Procedures.
Dr. Banga completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) – School of Osteopathic Medicine. While at UMDNJ, she served as Chief Resident and Student Education Chief. Dr. Banga earned her Doctor of Osteopathic (D.O.) medicine degree from Oklahoma State University – Center for Health Sciences, in Tulsa. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association as well as the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She also is affiliated with the American Association of Gynecologic Laparascopists.
As a member of the International Healthcare Volunteers program, Dr. Banga makes annual trips to Africa to perform gynecologic surgery and health education for the local medical institutions.
