Wilson Health Welcomes New Executive Chef | Wilson Health

Michelle Bridges has been named the new executive chef for Wilson Health. Bridges joins Wilson Health with a multitude of past experience in culinary arts and food service management. Her past culinary experiences and achievements hope to bring a new dimension to Wilson Health.

As the new executive chef, Bridges will be responsible for the production of all food within Wilson Health. In addition, she will also be overseeing the management, training and education of the entire culinary staff.

“Michelle’s role will be critical in providing patients and guests in the Wilson Café with a great food experience,” said Josh Dziedzicki, director of multi-services at Wilson Health. “By adding Michelle to our staff, we plan to offer display cooking in the café for lunch and we may also be seeing some changes to the menu. With Michelle joining our current café staff as a trained and certified culinarian, we hope to see nothing but great things in the café.”

Bridges is certified from the American Culinary Federation as a certified culinarian and certified executive pastry chef. She is also ServSafe® certified, passing the ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification exam. In 2013, Bridges was named the Chef of the Year from the American Culinary Federation, Dayton Chapter.

Prior to joining Wilson, Bridges served as a professional chef instructor at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio, where she taught culinary and bakery arts as well as menu planning and marketing. Bridges also has a plethora of hands-on chef experience, previously working as the executive chef at Kent’s Wood Fired Steaks in Troy, Ohio. In addition, she was the Pastry and Garde Manger Chef for The Bistro Off Broadway in Greenville, Ohio and The Inn at Versailles in Versailles, Ohio.

Bridges graduated from Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio with a degree in Food Service Management. She also received associate degrees in Applied Science Hospitality Management and Applied Science Culinary Arts, also from Sinclair. Bridges obtained a Bachelor of Science in marketing degree from Wright State University. She also has attained a master’s degree in Business Administration from Wright State.
