Wilson Health is pleased to welcome Chad Richards, DO, board-certified general surgeon, to its growing team of specialists. Dr. Richards joins the general surgery practice of Dr. A. David McDonald and Dr. Meghan Arndts, bringing extensive surgical training and a patient-centered approach to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients throughout the region.
Dr. Richards specializes in a broad range of general surgical procedures, with expertise in laparoscopic gallbladder removal, colon surgery, hernia repair, colonoscopy, gastroscopy, chemotherapy infusion port placement, and the evaluation and treatment of skin lesions and lipomas.
A graduate of Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Richards earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree before completing his General Surgery Residency at Kettering Health Grandview Medical Center. He also completed previous general surgery residency training at HonorHealth John C. Lincoln, further strengthening his clinical expertise and commitment to surgical excellence.
Dedicated to providing individualized care, Dr. Richards works closely with each patient to develop treatment plans tailored to their specific needs. His focus on minimally invasive surgical techniques, when appropriate, helps promote faster recovery, reduced discomfort, and improved outcomes.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Richards is fluent in Portuguese and conversational in Spanish, allowing him to communicate with and care for a diverse patient population.
