The Family Birth Center at Wilson Health recently received its US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Maternity Practices in Infant Nutrition and Care 2022 (mPINC) Hospital Report that demonstrated Wilson Health’s commitment to quality improvement in maternity practices that support optimal infant nutrition.
Wilson Health received an overall score of 94 out of a possible 100. The overall average score for all hospitals in the United States is 81, the Midwest region is 81, and for similarly-sized hospitals 82.
“It is nice to see this level of national recognition highlighting what most of us are already aware of—we have an outstanding maternity care team including our dedicated obstetricians/gynecologists, nurse midwifes, pediatricians, lactation consultant, unit nurses and staff, along with the staff in our women’s health and pediatric practices,” said Missy Tallmadge, Chief Nursing Officer at Wilson Health. “It is great to know that we are not only meeting, yet exceeding, the health care needs for expecting families in our community.
